Hi there,
sorry, if it's not appropriate forum, but it's extremly difficult for me to find good forum for asking in Estonian, so maybe you wont kill me.
I'm from Poland, and in 2014 I want to visit Estonia for paddling on canoe with 5 years old child (quite experienced). Could you advise me some river?
The perfect would be part of river for about 5 days (~100km) in wilderness, no harder than WW II, with not to many obstacles, but not boring, and not crowded.

Additional questions:
- which months are best for such paddling (travelling with children is easer, when is not to cold or rainy)?
- when mosquitos are less inconvenient, if they are a problem at all ?
- regulations and customs about camping outside appointed places - is it prohibited?

Thanks in advance
Scuner

Hi.
You find yust right place. I try to answer step bu step. And if you have more guestions then do not hesitate to ask.
First: from link you find 3 trip plans in wilderness.
kaart.otsing.delfi.ee/index.php?id=1&...f4e1553767282eaf#tc3
These trips are easy flat rivers and navigable inn all season.
Estonia is pretty flat land and in warm season you not find class 2 rapids. Easy white water sections are in Estonia short and navigable only in spring 2 - 3 weeks when water temperature are 2-6 degrees celsius.
White water videos you find from here:
toru.ee/search/?q=eskimo
About mosquitos - depends on summer. Somtimes more - somtime less.
Camping in wilderness -

This is in estonin but if you camp in wilderness and use primus then its ok.

Could you be so kind, and write a few words about them?

Võhandu jõgi:
not too crowded but if needed easy to find help. Flat river - only one section ca 15 class 1 WW with 4 old mill dams. Easy fun run - no hazards. Nice river with nice landscape. Place for Võhandu paddling marathon. My first choiche. www.vohandumaraton.ee/?page=&ln=en
My video about Võhandu 100km marathon with playboat:

Emajõgi:
Only 1 rock I remember. Flat river - first 36km in swamp - no houses no roads - no people. End of the river - the same.

Halliste:
First section - pure wilderness, swamps. No houses, roads. Many mosquitos in season. Flat river, no WW.
